Yerkes 24 inch reflector is used both for visual observing and for Skynet. We are still 'commissioning' this telescope for Skynet, and will be adding a flip mirror apparatus so the CCD and an eyepiece can both be mounted at the same time. So, if you would like to request observations from the Yerkes 24, that would help us with our testing. Consider your images as 'testing' images. However, the Yerkes 41 inch telescope is online every clear night barring any maintenance or technical difficulties, so Yerkes-41 is the better choice if you need your images back promptly.
Our engineers are working on modifications to the motor system for Right Ascension on the Yerkes 24 inch telescope. We hope to be online again soon!
